November 24, 20232 yr I have 3 drive possibilities on the HP-SFF - sata 5tb hdd, and two nvme 2tb drives (one on the x16 pcie slot. ) I am a total newbie in setting up a server so unRAID may raise questions for me that are obvious once I have got going. Do I need a pool as I have only one SATA drive? Same thing for nvme drives. The 5tb sata is the largest drive, and 2 nvme at 2tb. I want to set up a media server, and have a windows 10 vm using the activation already on the computer. Or can I have the windows on one of the nvme drives separate from the unRAID? This pc is on my desk and won’t be on unless I need access to music or a movie. It’s not too noisy but I prefer to run quietly rather than quickly. I would prefer to have the LAN network independent of internet, as my isp has cut us off doing works locally and it is a pain relying on our modem to share local data. I am with Virginmedia in uk. I don’t have an internal USB so will put my 16gb USB 2.0 drive in a USB 2 port on the back. Last, can I get a raincheck on the cyber weekend sale while I’m taking a trial? Thanks for reading Patricia

November 27, 20232 yr And the required Array device requirement will probably disappear in the coming months/years.
