November 26, 20232 yr I'm wondering if there is a way to move manually downloaded nzbs from my download folder into a Plex library. I have Sonarr, Radarr, NZBGet and Plex all working perfectly fine and in unison for any TV show or Movie added via Sonarr and Radarr. If I download a one-off live sporting event, how do I get the file to automatically move from my downloads folder into my PLEX folder? I can't for the life of me figure it out. Maybe I wasn't using the correct group of keywords, but I've spent the last couple hours trying to find a solution and no guide, post or site seems to have a solution to what I initially thought was a common problem.
November 26, 20232 yr Community Expert It all depends how you requested the download. It is Sonarr and Radarr that is moving the files from the NZBGet download folder to the Plex library locations. This is defined by the Category defined in Download Client and Media Management in Sonarr/Radarr. I would look at how you are requesting the download of your sporting event. I don't currently have it NZBGet running, but I don't believe it has a method of moving a completed file as you wish (I'm running SABnzbd now, ran NZBGet in the past). Perhaps something like NZBHydra can be configured to do this (I don't currently have that spun up either).
November 26, 20232 yr Author I've just been adding them via NZB Finder after the event. For example like a ufc event or boxing match. They are listed in there as TV > Sport as a category. I add it to my cart, and then it will get added to the NZBGet download queue and moved to a folder after completed. Is there a way to add sporting events in Sonarr or Radarr? I tried to add one but it didn't get recognized as a valid movie or tv show. I didn't think that would be possible because of that. Would there be a way to manually add it to a category and have Sonarr or Radarr handle it from there? Or is there a different app that handles stuff that doesn't fall under the Movie or TV categories that could do the move?
November 26, 20232 yr Community Expert Sonarr and Radarr base their searches on internet database sites (imdb, tvdb.com, etc.) so they probably wont help, as sporting events (even the biggest ones) are not included in those. You may be able to do something with NZBGet scripts (such as VideoSort or EasySort). I have not used any of the scripting in NZBGet, may/may not be possible depending on the docker you are using, and support may be hard to find given that NZBGet has lost support since its only developer retired from it and no decent fork has emerged from the ashes.
