Help with windows VM having problems with CPU?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, so I am having big issues with my setup currently. Was running smoothly for around 12 days (since when I first installed unraid) but yesterday my system had major issues. I was having the Out of memory issue mentioned other places on the forum, and while gaming I had problems with the performance of my game, so I decided to stop the vm, and restart the unraid server entirely.

Rebooting the system has now created a host of problems for me, but given my limited experience with unraid, I am not sure how to diagnose what is going on..

Current main issue is that when launching MW3 (yes yes I know that this is a ratsnest of problems in itself, but it used to work) it shows a `CPU TIME` in the telemetry of 5.76E+14 ms. This is too much obviously, but I have no idea what it is refering to. I have tried different pinning settings for CPU, I have done a full check of the machine in the system using memtest86, and I have tried doing a clean reinstall of the game.

It's a windows 11 VM, fully updated, has plenty of cores (16 pairs) and enough ram (32gb), with an AMD RX6800 XT running passthrough, and running on it's own nvme drive that has been passed as well.

I am completely out of my regular skillset, so I would love some help on how to diagnose whatever this problem could be.

included in spoilers are the VM configuration, cpu pinning settings page and vmmanager settings

Keep in mind everything was functional until last night after I did the reboot (sure there was the occasional stutter but everything appeared to work) I did also install WSL recently, not sure if that has something to do with it.

included download to diagnostics

thanks in advance

EDIT:
Oh for reference the server is running with a AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X 32-Core @ 3700 MHz (not sure how much data is in the diagnostics package, better safe than sorry)
