Slow file transfer speed (smb and iperf)

Featured Replies

Have been using a 2.5G USB Adapter (AS-U2.5G2) since October and speed has been pretty good (over 200MB/s for rsync/smb). I used the RTL8156 plugin and added the ethtool line in my Go file.

Weird things happened after I updated my Unraid to 6.12.5. After I press the update button I waited for the plugin helper to update the Realtek driver before I reboot (was my first update after using the 2.5g adapter and the plugin).  After the update, I did some file transfer testings. I noticed my SMB file transfer speed and iperf3 speed is very slow (see attached screencap). Even slower than gigabit ethernet. I rebooted more than 2 times and doesn't solve the problem. So I downgraded to Unraid 6.12.4 and restored the plugin (but not 100% sure if it also restore the driver), but the speed doesn't improve. I also disabled network bridging but doesn't change anything.

Please help

Pretty sure that NIC only works with the driver installed, so it must be using it, if downgrading to v6.12.4 didn't help I suggest posting in the driver support thread, in case something was changed recently in the driver.
