PhantomICEMAN Posted December 1, 2023 Share Posted December 1, 2023 Hi im contemplating buying the LSI MegaRaid SAS 9361-8i 1GB - FH PCIe-x8 12Gbps SAS RAID Controller for my new unraid setup however im unsure whether this will work with the software has anyone tried it and what did you have to do to get it to work as ive read that you have reflash these cards otherwise they wont work. I purchased this controller from AliExpress:- https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005427076687.html but ive been told that it might not be ideal and might be prone to failure . PhantomICEMAN Posted December 1, 2023 Author Share Posted December 1, 2023 Is it likely to cause issues if i had two of the drives running from the motherboard along with 6 from this controller and not from the same the controller. Ive got sata drives btw. Im happy to invest more on more expnsive card i an altenative is more reliable. Ive read in some case these do fail after a given time. Quote Link to comment
