December 4, 20232 yr Hello, I work in an organization where all the ethernet ports are given 1 static IP address and does not use DHCP. I have an Ubuntu VM that is running a web server that I would like to be reachable from the internet. From my searching around for port forwarding problems, everyone says that you have to switch the networking mode from virbr0 to br0, but as stated before, I only get a single IP address and can not use br0 with DHCP to give to the VM. For example is the web server is running on port 8080 in the VM, is it possible to port forward that through virbr0? Would I have to explore the idea of running Pfsense in another vm? Get a router and plug my unraid machine into that? Or do all the paperwork to get another IP address allocation? Thanks in advance
