Data rearraging goes unwantedly undone after a while

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm using unraid for two years now almost trouble free, always updating to the latest version.
I have a simple setup, one 4tB disk for parity, one 500gB, one 1500gB, one 2000gB, ant then two 1tB nvmes for cache, under a 5600G with 32gB ram.
recently found a cheap new wd red 4tB disk and wanted to replace with the 500gB. So, for safety purposes, moved the entirity of the 500gB to the other disks with unbalance and followed these steps. Also before replacing the old disk I precleared once the new disk.
For my surprise, after the rebuild of the array some data appeared on the new 4tB disk and that was weird. Now I'm trying to get data from the other disks and cache to the new disk, I used unbalance two times and after it is done the data is moved to the new disk (I can see this with the used sizes of each disk and the files within), however after a while it just becomes undone from air ! the data is gone from where it was supposed to be and reappears back in the drives that I moved from !
dont now what to do and what prints or logs to post here, please advise. any help is much appreciated
