My docker doesn't love my Unraid: why can't it find it?

Featured Replies

In my Unraid system I've got a folder called 'fotos' under /mnt/user/fotos/. I've got my photo library there. It's on 192.168.1.163.

I've installed a Docker Cointainer with Virtual DSM to test Synology Photos from there. I had to use the 'custom br0' option to access it, and now it has autoassigned itself the IP 192.168.1.185:5000.

Everything seems to work, but after installing Synology Photos on that container, I'd like to import the photos from my original photo library. When I try to mount a remote folder under the Synology explorer options, I use CIFS and try to setup the folder, but I get a message showing that there's a connection error with the remote folder.

In fact, if I ssh my Virtual DSM container and I do a ping to 192.168.1.163, I get nothing. It's unreachable, and I don't understand how can this be possible. Shouldn't both machines see themselves and be able to connect?
