Help needed with NFS

Featured Replies

I am currently in the progress of setting-up and testing a new unraid server (first-time user/noob).

I am now at the point that i want to try NFS for streaming HD videos and Blu-ray rips to a Dune and a Mede8er mediaplayer.

I have already followed the steps on this forum and in the FAQ but dont seems to get it working.

Is only entering *(rw) in Disk shares (NFS) enough to get started or must user shares be enabled too.

What mountpoint must be used on the mediaplayer to connect to the unraid server?

I am using unraid 4.7.

Can someone please get me started?

That will only see that one disk, which may be fine, if everything you want to share is there, but if the folder containing the media spans disks, then you will have to use a Shared folder

What mountpoint must be used on the mediaplayer to connect to the unraid server?

It must begin at /mnt

Cheers.
