How should I best format the storage/hard drives?

With ZFS?

I'm seeking advice on the best approach to setting up my storage

 

Is there a current installation guide or YouTube video available for the best practices on installing the latest version 6.12.6?

 

Here's the hardware I've gathered for this build:

3x Seagate Exos X18 16TB

3x WD Red SA500 NAS SATA SSD 1TB

2x Samsung 980 Pro M.2 1TB

Topton NAS Motherboard N6005

Crucial RAM 32GB (CT2K16G4SFRA32A)

Corsair RMx Series 650w (2023)

SilverStone CS382 Case

 

My intention is to utilize the unRAID Server for various applications such as:

Homer dashboard

ownCloud Infinite Scale 3.x

Plex for streaming movies on my LG TV

Pi-hole

PhotoPrism

And maybe more in the future..

    You can use zfs for pools, don't recommend for now using it in the array, since there's a write performance issue.
