how to preclear my disk

in the middle of my unraid build and its time to boot it up for the first time. im using the latest stable release of unraid (free edition)

 

i hear that i need to do a preclear but not sure how i do this. do i do it on the gui webpage interface. or on the unraid pc ? do i need to install anything extra on my usb stick were my unraid os is ?

 

i have 500gb parity

500gb disk1

 

i have booted the system up and i can access my unraid on another pc by the gui webpage. i have done nothing els at this point.

 

i watched a video on youtube sowing how to setup unraid but they didn't mention the pre clear they just formatted the drives..made share folders and that was it.

 

anyway i hope someone can help me out really appreciate it
