Nun wollte ich wissen aus euren Erfahrungen ob der Stromverbrauch von meinem Server im IDLE mit der Ausstattung ok ist . MPC561 Posted December 17, 2023 Share Posted December 17, 2023 Ist schwer zu sagen. Die meisten nutzen Intel Systeme weil die im Idle im allgemeinen sparsamer sind. Zum Beispiel mein W480 mit i3-10100 braucht 16W mit der gleichen Anzahl Platten und auch nur wenigen Docker Containern und keiner VM am laufen. Verglichen damit zieht dein Server ganz schön Saft. Für ein AMD System kann das wohl ok sein. Aber das beantwortet lieber jemand genau der AMD besser kennt. Quote Link to comment

Wenn alles passt sollte eigentlich irgendwas um die 25W machbar sein (zumindest hatte ich das mal mit meinem alten AMD System, B550+Ryzen PRO 4650g) Quote Link to comment

Halt alles was mit Stromsparmodi zu tun hat aber aktiviert (sofern möglich besser auch "an/aktiv" wählen und nicht "automatisch"). Ansonsten bleibt eigentlich nur noch zu prüfen ob irgendwelche Geräte ihr ASPM nicht aktiviert haben. Balu76 Posted December 18, 2023 Author Share Posted December 18, 2023 Guten Abend Also ich hab jetzt mal im BIOS alles durchsucht was mit aspm zu tun hat, aber ich komme auf kein vernünftiges Ergebnis. Ich vermute mal das es mit dem chipsatz zu tun hat. Ich bekomme von einem Bekannten ein MSI Board neuerer Bauart zum testen, dann sehe ich ja ob es besser funktioniert, ansonsten muss ich mit den 30 Watt im idle leben. Wenn die Platten vorher und hinterher direkt am Mainboard angeschlossen sind, sollte das in 99,99% ohne weiteres funktionieren. Vorsichtshalber würde ich aber vor dem Umbau einmal einen Screenshot der Plattenzuordnung machen und den Array Autostart ggfs deaktivieren. Quote Link to comment

Nach dem Wechsel habe ich nur einmal kurz Powertop -auto-tune ausgeführt und die Anzeigen sahen okay aus. Aber da ich seitdem andere 'Baustellen' habe, wurde das von mir nicht weiter verfolgt und danach nicht wieder ausgeführt. Bisher läuft das System (siehe Signatur 2nd System Shipon) ohne gestartetes Powertop. Ich hatte gewechselt, da nach der Nutzung von 'Powertop -auto-tune' mit den ASM1064 mein Array 'zerbrochen' ist, weil die Kontroller anscheinend damit nicht klar kamen. (Ein Neustart ohne Powertop hatte das Problem dann beseitigt.) Wir haben das aktuelle BIOS Update durchgeführt und alle Einstellungen im BIOS durchgeführt die mit aspm zu tun haben. Der idle Verbrauch liegt bei 25.68 Watt, was ich schonmal als gut empfinde. Leider zeigt er mir bei " lspci -vv | awk '/ASPM/{print $0}' RS= | grep --color -P '(^[a-z0-9:.]+|ASPM |Disabled;|Enabled;)'" Immer noch an das aspm nicht aktiviert ist. Balu76 Posted December 27, 2023 Author Share Posted December 27, 2023 Guten Abend Nachdem ich heute festgestellt habe das mit dem ASPM scheint bei AMD ein glücksspiel zu sein , mal geht es mal wieder nicht , habe ich mich entschlossen auf Intel umzusteigen es wird ein Intel I7 8700k und ein Board von ASRock z370 Extreme 4.
