Crashing after latest upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi,

I’ve noticed that after upgrading to the latest unraid OS, my server crashes almost daily. It was stable in the prior version. Noting issues reported with macvlan, I also tried switching to ipvlan but this did not solve the problem. Any idea what might be happening here? Diagnostics attached.

Note that the last crash was around 1pm ET today.

Thank you! http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/657f39eee9217/tower-diagnostics-20231217-1309.zip

Here you go - There was a crash just before noon ET today. I don't see anything obvious in the syslog... but maybe I am missing something.

Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged, this usually points to a hardware issue, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.

Also post the diags here, just in case you are using hardware with known issues.

It could be a coincidence, but you can downgrade and confirm if it's stable there, nothing jumps out regarding the hardware.

Thanks - I’ll also give the server a break for a bit. It’s possible that a large influx of data led to some errors (I have been importing a fairly large music library to Plex). We will see- I will try safe mode, too, and see if anything turns up.
