Acronis TI 11 Error

Featured Replies

I was trying to backup one of my unraid shares from a Vista Box with TI Home 11 Build 8027. I get the following message when trying to create a full backup:

E00040019: Failed to backup file or folder 'Tunes'.

Failed to backup file or folder. (0x40019)

    Path = "\\?\UNC\Mediatower\Tunes",

    Hints = 1)

    Tag = 0xA8A1022BD18AE0C9

The request is not supported (0xFFF0)

    code = 80070032)

    Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8AF

I tried referring to the share as a UNC path as well as mapping a drive, I get the same error message.

I checked the Acronis forums, no mention of this error. Any Suggestions?

Thanks in Advance,

I have only worked with an early version of True Image, but it only backed up disks on the mackine on which it was loaded.  It had no ability to back up a folder on a remote machine.

Now, my old version does had the ability to store its backup image on a network share, and to restore from it.  Perhaps the error is because you have the unRaid "Tunes" folder mapped as a folder on your PC and it is getting confused?

I did a quick google search and found this...

Apparently, TI now does have the ability to work across a network, but earlier builds had a problem working with Vista.

You might try upgrading your TI to the latest version and try again.

It does talk about installing a "remote agent" so perhaps that part is what is missing.

Problem solved by upgrading to TI 11 Build 8053.
