December 18, 20232 yr Hi I created my shares sometime ago before the trash guides. And so I have seperate shares for downloads, TV, and movies. I would like to change it to follow the trash guides folder stucture: How can I move the data from the old shares into a new share efficiently? I thought about rsync, but it only makes a copy and doesn't delete the old file after.
December 18, 20232 yr Community Expert You can use mv or mc (midnight commander) to move data instantly between shares, always move from share to share.
