New array super slow read speeds from hard disks

Featured Replies

So i recently upgraded my backplane to SAS3 as my previous one had failed. I also upgraded to an LSI SAS 9300-8I for controller card. Since i am doing all this work i have disabled parity and just trying to organize some things. For some reason if i try to read from a hard disk in the array using krusader i could only get like 2MB/s MAX. When i read from SSD or NVME and write to a disk in krusader, it works great and with no parity i am getting well over 150MB/s writing to the hard disks.

I have installed the diskspeed docker, and tried benchmarking drives, and all the HD's are basically at 2MB/s (images attached)

Any idea what could be going on? I also attached diagnostic.

Problems communicating with multiple disks. Cable, power, controller problem.

Those DiskSpeed curves are far from typical.

Ok, so i put the IBM M1015 back in and speeds were normal, it must be some issue with the LSI SAS3 controller. Thanks
