VNC not working for 1 out of 4 VMs

Featured Replies

Hi, I have 4 virtual machines in my Unraid setup (Windows 11, Windows Server, Ubuntu and CachyOS). All machines works fine when booted, but when I try to connect to Windows 11 using VNC - it stucks on Unraid screen (attached). At the same time I can connect to my VM using RDP. On other machines (including Windows Server) I can connect using VNC (and RDOP where applicable). Issue is not in browser because I tried with multiple browsers (even freshly installed one) and also from non browser based VNC client. I'd like to add that in the beginning, after installing Windows 11, I was able to connect to it using both RDP and VNC but after a few month VNC stopped working. I can not pinpoint exact moment what that happened as I do not use VNC every day, but in a timeframe it happened no change in configuration has been made. As I recall one Windows update landed on my VM at that time but was not able to connect it with VNC issue. As RDP on that machine works it was not a big deal to me but I'd like to fix it now (if possible). Does anyone have any idea what might be the problem here and how to fix it?

No. After a while VNC started working for a few weeks, then again stopped. I have no idea what is the root cause of that behavior...
