HDDs not detected in BIOS or in UNRAID

Featured Replies

I am trying to move 5 HDDs from my previous windows server (HDDs were in a software RAID5 pool).... I am using a M.2 ASM1166 expansion card.

When I connected the 5 HDDs, 3 of them show up in UNRAID as unassigned drives that I could add to a pool as intended, 2 of them don't show up at all.  None of them show up when I go into the BIOS.

I took the 2 that don't show in UNRAID out of the server and connected them to the old windows machine and deleted the pool they were in, and formatted the drives.  They still don't show up in UNRAID.  In windows they appear to be in working order.  What am I missing?

I know nothing about linux and am brand new to UNRAID...

In case it's relevant information, I have a Gigabyte Gaming X AX Z790 motherboard, 12700k CPU.

I believe the sata M.2 adapter I bought this one...
