March 2, 200818 yr How do i get windows to automatically login to my mapped network unrad drives? Everytime i reboot the client computer, i have to manually reconnect my shared network drives and enter a username and password. I set up My Movies a front end for Vista/XP that shows all the movies on my Unraid server. I can't use it to browse all my movies unless i reconnect all the network drives and login first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Craig
March 4, 200818 yr The Map Network Drive function has a "Reconnect at logon" checkbox, and the username/password dialog should have a "save password" checkbox. If the "save password" checkbox missing or unusable: Click Start Click Run Type "control userpasswords2" Click OK Click Advanced tab Click Manage Passwords button Click Add Server should be "tower" unless you've changed it to something else. Enter the username and password you've set for access to the share. No idea if the above is the same for Vista...
March 4, 200818 yr If you're using MCE 2005 then you won't have this option since it was disabled (XP home doesn't have it either) Their is a long registry hack out there that can be used to enable this option but I never got around to trying it. I just turned the security to off and now only protect the web interface and unraid box itself. You can also use user shares to create a supper directory with all your movies in it.
