December 28, 20232 yr I just added a new drive. Since it is the largest drive I installed it as parity 2 not realizing when I moved the parity 1 drive to a data disk I couldn't just move parity 2 to parity 1. Is there any disadvantage to just leaving it as parity 2?
December 28, 20232 yr Community Expert Solution Main difference is that parity2 is not valid if you use the same data disks in a different order, other than that it's very similar.
December 28, 20232 yr Author Thank you, it sounds like I should go ahead and rebuilt the parity 2 drive into parity 1 in case there is ever a disk mix up.
