Featured Replies

After a reboot when I click on Start on the Main tab, I get an error saying that my ZFS pool won't start "Wong POOL state, invalid config"

Any thoughts?

@JorgeB

Forgive me, I'm not sure how to do that. Would you mind walking me through what you're asking me to do?

So pool only has 4 members, any special reason you assigned devices 1 2 4 5 and left 3 empty?

Unassign all pool devices, start array, stop array, now reassign them to slots 1 2 3 4 in the same order as the zpool status, so:

sdg

sdh

sdj

sdi

Start array and the pool should import.

I skipped slot 3 because I had 5 HDDs but one showed it was failing. So I removed it and it was in the 3rd slot on the HDD cage. Figured I'd leave that slot open if I replace it later.

If that is the issue... then no big deal, I'll use 1-4.

How do I go about unassigning the HDDs from the the datapool? Do I just go to the Main tab, click the drop down for each slot and select no device? If that is the case, I tried that, then once the datapool had no device selected for each, I could not start the array, it says missing cache disk. Even though the cache disk is separate from datapool. It is a nvme SSD.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Correct, you then must check "I want to do this" next to start button to be able to start the array.
