Crashing becoming more frequent, analysis needed

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've been some pretty bad crash at any time of the day, the last one was a few minutes ago and I can't seems to pinpoint what the issue is, I believe it may be a bad drive and when restarting it I had an error about /dev/sda which is my usb drive but it was a first.

Could somebody have a look at my diagnostic and syslog and maybe help me ?

ATA errors should not crash the server, but check/replace cables for disk3 to see if they go away.

While changing the cable was not the exact solution I believe I may now have a more stable server.

I had those errors on any port and with any cable, so I believed it was the disk, being one of the latest I bought I ordered an ASM1064 card and all issues went away when using it !
