Festplatte ersetzen - Daten umziehen / Cache in SSD Array sinnvoll?

ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem kleinen ThinClient als Server und werde jetzt aufrüsten. Aktuell besteht das Array nur aus einer einzelnen 128GB SSD, auf der momentan alle Daten für Unraid liegen. Über Unassigned Devices ist noch eine größere USB HDD angeschlossen, auf der Daten für z.B. Jellyfin liegen.

 

Jetzt soll die 128GB Platte durch 2 1TB SSDs ersetzt werden. Dazu 2 Fragen.

 

1. Kann ich die Daten der alten SSD einfach mit z.B. Unbalance 1:1 auf eine der neuen SSDs schieben um diese anschließend zu ersetzen, oder werde ich auf diesem Weg Probleme bekommen?

 

2. Macht es Sinn eine der SSDs als Cache zu nutzen, oder bringt mir das gar keine Vorteile, wenn sowieso nur SSDs im Array vorhanden sind. Ich weiß nicht ob der Cache auch für USB-HDDs via Unassigned Devices genutzt werden würde?
