January 4, 20242 yr Currently trying to connect to my new unRAID server smb share. I go to my file manager Dolphin. I then get the authentication dialogue box and type in my username as well as my password. Hit enter, and the dialogue box closes, then just reopens without a connection. I have confirmed that I am using the correct password and the correct username. Additionally anyother way I tried accessing the share (ie. with IP address) it failed to connect. Unsure of what to try at this point. Most of the other solutions I've found with google have had to do with Windows based issues. tower-diagnostics-20240104-0925.zip
January 4, 20242 yr Author So I was able to connect to the share and use it. I changed the share's export to 'yes' instead of 'yes hidden'. My username and password on the unRAID server is the same as my authentication creds for my system as well. I was not able to directly connect to it, but instead was able to find it through network discovery on the file manager, then used its location to create a tab in my file manager. All in all still not super pleased with how this is working as I would rather turn it to private. After I'm done moving some files I will try to experiment some and see if I can hit it from other systems and if I can get it turned to private.
March 8, 20251 yr I had a similar issue and found a solution somewhere that involved inputting the credentials for the unRAID share in KDEWalletManager and that fixed the issue permanently for me. That said I recently re-imaged my system and now I'm looking for that same solution again...
