Server freeze (syslog went fro 5mb to 28mb, cant make sense of it all)

Featured Replies

My syslog just went from around 5mb to 28mb (and the server froze), can anyone make sense of it or give a hint?

The crash was at "Jan 7 12:49:29 Tower kernel: note: lsof[18384] exited with irqs disabled"

I've had tons of issues in the past, but just recently had an uptime of 8 days before this crash. I searched for "error" in the log, and during the uptime there doesnt seem to be much errors until today, took a print screen.

Last time I ordered new RAM, but that did not make a difference. However once I released the screw to the CPU cooler a bit, the server stopped having a freeze every 3rd hour or so and had an uptime for over a week before this.

EDIT: This seems to be the repeating error message

Server is constantly crashing, but not clear to me what's causing it, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.
