December 30, 201114 yr I've got the same issue. I've just installed a Seagate ST2000DL003 drive ( I tore out of an external case ). I had run it a few weeks, doing some of the "Long" tests built in to SeaTools to make sure the drive performed ok. If it could survive in the tight, airless enclosure it was installed in, I figure it would be happier being in my server with multiple fans cooling it. I installed it in the server today, it came up in UnMenu per below: Drive Partitions - Not In Protected Array Device Model/Serial Mounted File System Temp Size Used %Used Free /dev/sdf scsi-SATA_ST2000DL003-9VT_6YD0RJH7 23°C 2.00T /dev/sdf1 scsi-SATA_ST2000DL003-9VT_6YD0RJH7 ntfs 24°C This is my second Advanced Format Drive to install (the first one installed and is running as my parity drive, without issue) on UnRaid 4.7. I followed this sequence for activating PreClear: 1. installpkg /boot/packages/cxxlibs-6.0.8-i486-4.tgz 2. cd /boot 3. preclear_disk.sh -A /dev/sdf And, get this response: Serial Number: 6YD0RJH7 Firmware Version: CC98 User Capacity: 2,000,398,934,016 bytes Device is: Not in smartctl database [for details use: -P showall] ATA Version is: 8 ATA Standard is: ATA-8-ACS revision 4 Local Time is: Fri Dec 30 17:35:11 2011 EST SMART support is: Available - device has SMART capability. Capital 'Y', lower case 'es'): EDIT: I updated to preclear 1.13 (I had 1.11) and the error has disappeared. Not sure if its coincidence or not, but I will run a few preclears nonetheless.
