Random restarts after upgrade

Featured Replies

Hello everyone!

I have been using Unraid for years and recently upgraded my hardware, now my server is randomly restarting uncleanly. Once the restart happens all of the logs are gone, I watched the logs as the server started to restart but nothing changed in the syslog. I am also getting a couple of errors regarding AMD5900x processor.

Fix Common Problems: Error: Machine Check Events detected on your server
mcelog: ERROR: AMD Processor family 25: mcelog does not support this processor.  Please use the edac_mce_amd module instead.

I've trying to find answers but I have been unlucky. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

I went through and turned CState to disabled, and changed ram to 3200 per the article.

I'll let it run and see what happens.

The server restarted within 30 minutes of applying the settings. Once it restarted I only started 3 dockers and tried again, it last 2 hours before it forced a restart.

Any other ideas?

If the server is rebooting on its own, vs. crashing or hanging, it suggests a hardware (or power) issue.
