OCZ RevoDrive RVDHY-FH-1T PCI-E 1TB Hybrid Solid State Drive PCI-Express 2.0 x4 MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Similar in concept to the Seagate Momentus XT, it looks like this is a 100 GB SSD integrated with a 1 TB 2.5" drive using the ultra-fast PCIe x4 interface.

Incredible speeds:

Max Sequential Read - Up to 910 MB/s

Max Sequential Write - Up to 810 MB/s

4KB Random Write - Up to 120,000 IOPS

I don't know of any other individual drives on the market that match these numbers!

Unlikely to work with unRAID, and if it is anything like the original RevoDrive then it will be Windows-only (the original had no drivers for Mac or Linux).  Also like the original, it will probably be bested by full SSDs with comparable read/write speeds within a year or so.

looks great!

though i think fusion io are the more expensive and faster option

"The SLC version of the ioDrive 2 Duo can deliver 900,000 write IOPS and 700,000 read IOPS, at 3GB/sec. The first-generation product did 262,000 and 261,000 respectively, at 1.5GB/sec reading and 1.1GB/sec writing speeds"

Defn, getting to the stage where the interface is going to be a bottle neck.
