Server crash and restarts during parity check

Featured Replies

So I did a parity shuffle, removed my 12TB parity drive, replaced it with an 18TB drive, rebuilt parity, then rebuilt an 8TB drive onto the 12TB drive, all smoothly.

I then grabbed another 18TB drive to rebuild another 8TB drive onto, and repeated the process. The server seemed to just die and start again with no clear indicator of cause or reason, so I tried a new config and putting the 8TB back in, assuming the second 18TB was the issue.

During that parity rebuild, the system crashed again. I'm thoroughly stumped as to the cause, I've attached a couple of diagnostics files, I'm wondering if someone could check them out and point me in the right direction to troubleshoot what's causing this?

I'm not too worried about the data on these drives, there's nothing that isn't stored elsewhere or otherwise recreatable, though obviously the fact I've had the array unclean shutdown without parity a few times now is less than ideal.

TIA!

If the server reboots on its own, vs. crashing or hanging, it usually points to a hardware issue, or power.
