January 19, 20242 yr Hello everyone. I am on my 4th day of evaluation and I'm mostly happy with the the system except for each reboot is greeting me with the "Stopped. Unclean shutdown detected." message. What should I check to get over this issue? Thank you. unraid-diagnostics-20240119-0950.zip
January 19, 20242 yr Community Expert The syslog in the diagnostics is the RAM copy and only shows what happened since the reboot. It could be worth enabling the syslog server to get a log that survives a reboot so we can see what happened prior to the reboot. The mirror to flash option is the easiest to set up, but if you are worried about excessive wear on the flash drive you can put your server’s address into the Remote Server field.
January 19, 20242 yr Author Thank you for the response, that was quick. I will enable mirroring to flash for troubleshooting, it shouldn't kill my drive. Then how do I download those logs to be shared here?
January 19, 20242 yr Author After reading how diagnostic data is collected it looks like it collects all available logs. Here they are. unraid-diagnostics-20240119-1033.zip
January 19, 20242 yr Community Expert I don't see any shutdown attempt in the previous syslog, if the shutdown is not being clean, Unraid should be saving diags from that in the flash drive /logs folder, see if there some there from the last unclean shutdown and post those.
January 19, 20242 yr Author I rebooted it a couple times now, so it should be captured in the log. I tried with the VM running with the VM autostart and with the VM stopped without autostart. Every time the array was not stardet after the reboot. During the startup I noticed something concerning on the monitor connected to the host: unraid-diagnostics-20240119-1231.zip

Time how long the array takes to stop when you use the "Stop" button instead of the reboot or shutdown button. If the array can't get stopped before the timeout expires, you need to extend the timeout period to allow for a clean stop instead of a forced close.
