January 24, 20242 yr I attached the logs, there are more than one crash in that file. My system stays up around 20 hours then becomes unresponsive. I modified the macvlan to ipvlan. syslog-10.0.0.52.log
January 24, 20242 yr Community Expert Unfortunately there's nothing relevant logged, this usually points to a hardware issue, you should also post the diagnostics, mostly top see the hardware used, one thing you can try is to boot the server in safe mode with all docker/VMs disabled, let it run as a basic NAS for a few days, if it still crashes it's likely a hardware problem, if it doesn't start turning on the other services one by one.
January 24, 20242 yr Community Expert No known issues with that hardware AFAIK, suggest trying what I posted above.
January 24, 20242 yr Are you running your server headless or do you have a monitor/mouse/keyboard hooked up to it? Is it accessible physically when it crashes?
January 24, 20242 yr Author I am running it headless, logging in via IPMI gives me nothing. Nothing in the IPMI Logs This was a Board/CPU/Ram replacement of a SuperMicro X9 based system. When the X9 would crash it at least would have information in the IPMI Logs. I am not even seeing events for Power On/Off. I did check the BIOS to see if it is enabled and it looks like it is. Running MemTest now
January 25, 20242 yr Well shoot, there goes my theory. Someone else on the forum has the same board but their network drivers weren’t loading. Previously I had the on board NIC driver screw up on my X10 board which would make it appear as if it crashed.
January 30, 20242 yr Author I was able to keep it online for more than 24 hours by disabling Plex Docker. Re-Enabled Plex Docker and it seemed to freeze up while doing a Metadata refresh on the music library. I removed my music library from Plex to see if it is isolated to this library, manual refreshes of other libraries ran without issue. I will post again if I get 48 Hours of stability, or this does not pan out.
February 2, 20242 yr Author Solution This looks to be resolved, it was tied to the Metadata refresh of a Plex music library.
