no web gui after NIC install

Featured Replies

I'm upgrading my home network to 2.5GB.  I purchased a realtek 8125 NIC. After install, I lost the web GUI.  I cannot log in locally, I don't know why.  I can ping and ssh into my server, but no web access.  I removed the NIC, and no change.  My IP has not changed.  I renamed the network and network-rules on my USB, and still nothing.  I stopped and started nginx, nothing.

Unraid V 6.9~

I've attached my diagnostic I ran from SSH.

Any help is much appreciated.

Don't see that one in the diagnostics. Had you already removed it?

Yes, I removed it trying to regain web gui.

Don't see anything obvious, to rule out a config issue, boot with a new flash drive using a stock Unraid install, no key needed, just to see if it works.

I didn't get a chance to try this.  I finally got it to come back after multiple restarts.  I reinstalled the Realtek NIC, and got the GUI to come back, but only with the ethernet plugged into the onboard NIC.  The Realtek is set as eth0, but with the ethernet plugged in there, I get an IP but no web GUI.  With it plugged into the onboard NIC, I get a different IP address, but I can access the gui with that IP.  In the settings it shows both interfaces having the same MAC, which is the Realtek MAC.  eth0 is bonded to eth1 on the first interface, eth0.  The 2nd interface (eth1) has no settings set, and ip assignment is set to "none".  I will start a new topic if you think that is a better idea than posting a lot of diagnostics and images here. I'd really like to get the Realtek working as my only interface, but I'm afraid of losing the web gui again.

The opposite of a better idea.

Please keep it all on this thread until these problems are resolved.

Well I truly appreciate your help, so I wanted to make it as easy as I could.  Everything has seemed to correct itself somehow, I have no idea how. I edited the interface again to collect diagnostics, and it just came back up. Thanks to you both.
