USB failed - trying to reinstall

Featured Replies

Good day, I'm pretty new to Unraid, so wanted some basic help. I own a basic license, however my Flash drive failed and hence I am attempting to reinstall the flash. Since USB creator tool never went ahead from "sync" in-spite of the FAT32/UNRAID naming attempts, I was able to prepare a bootable USB via manual method.

Initially I used a different USB and used the license URL under the registration Key file url space which gave a message "Installed". However, there was a top right screen error indicating license expired and also suggesting since flash drive changed I need to edit the USB config file with the old key. To avoid this, I used the original flash drive and did the same manual reinstall, but at the license step I ended up Error:8 and somewhere I read the original flash drive may have been block-listed. So wondering what is my next step?

I only have an email from Unraid with the subject "Your Unraid Server OS Basic Key" and the URL for license. Any pointers would be appreciated.
