HELP: VM Autostart disabled due to vfio-bind error

Featured Replies

Getting this error on starting array. 2 VMs, one for hassio (no passthrus) and one win11 w/ SR-IOV igpu passthru

  • Event: VM Autostart disabled
  • Subject: vfio-pci-errors
  • Description: VM Autostart disabled due to vfio-bind error
  • Please review /var/log/vfio-pci-errors

After I get the error when starting the array, I can manually start each VM successfully.

Did you ever resolve this?

I removed a GPU and encountered the same issue.   I found the solution on reddit:  "go to System Devices. Tick and untick a device and then press bind selected to vfio at boot. Then the file is recreated and all unwanted entries are removed. Then reboot."

I guess unraid has a bug where hardware changes break this.
