I am planning an unraid build and plan to use this Norco 12 bay hot Swap Case

But the 12v rail seems a little lacking....

 

Any input would be great

This model seems to have a single 12v rail....@35amp.  So assuming the case was full of 12 drives....  mostly green, id be looking at 24amp which would leave me 11amp overhead for everything else?  Workable?

11A is plenty of overhead.  I generally match PSUs to systems with just 2-3A of overhead (they are slightly more efficient that way, but in your case I wouldn't worry about it).

Thanks for that quick reply.  Am I correct in thinking that my original PSU is lacking?  And am I also correct in that the second PSU does in fact have a single 12v rail at 35Amp?
