PSU Issue - Now Cache drive won't mount.

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Woke up to the server not responding, on hard reboot the server refused to boot up.

Troubleshooting led me to believe the PSU had gone as it would boot with a donor PSU.

On start up with new PSU, all seems okay except the cache drive is now getting stuck on "Mounting" when I attempt to start the array.

I am able to start the array in maintenance mode.

I've attached the Diagnostics from Maintenance Mode and Attempting to Mount (named respectively).

Ran a SMART test on the Cache drive but both came back with no errors.

Anyone able to shed some light?

Try zeroing the log tree:

btrfs rescue zero-log /dev/sdh1

Then re-start the array.

Thanks for the reply JorgeB, luckily, I've got solid backups in place, so I ended up reformatting the cache disk (assuming the disk may have been dead) and just restoring from a backup - all back working but will keep the above command in hand if it happens again! I appreciate it!
