Thunderbolt 3/4 m.2 enclosure with JMB585 5x SATA adapter

Featured Replies

Dear community.

Has anyone attempted to connect an M.2 5x SATA adapter to a Thunderbolt enclosure?
In particular I am the owner of this M.2 Enclosure and I have also this M.2 5x SATA adapter.
I used them together under Ubuntu. I could connect Disk and read and write on them, but i recently discovered the existence of UNRAID and I am planning a build using an Intel NUC.
Because of this I immediately flashed a USB and installed the trial version then I tried to connect the M.2 Enclosure with the M.2 SATA adapter, I can see the Enclosure being connected and recognized using dmesg. But no disks are mounted or recognized.
This is what I see from dmesg:

[2182.398514] thunderbolt 1-0:1.1: new retimer found, vendor=0x8086 device=0x15ee
[2182.398517] thunderbolt 1-1: new device found, vendor=0x8086 device=0x12

Is anyone able to help maybe?

Thank you in advance

Don't have any experience with Thunderbolt but please post the complete diagnostics in case something is visible there.
