Intermittent access issue with unraid

Featured Replies

I’m pretty new to unraid. I have 6.12.6. I've been experiencing a recurring issue with my Unraid server where I lose access to it from other computers in my home network every few days. Strangely, I can still access it directly from the server itself without any problems via terminal. I usually don’t use the gui on the server itself. To regain access, I have to restart the Unraid server. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue? I’ve attached my diagnostics file which i downloaded right after my last restart, so probably not helpful. The next time it happens I’ll be sure to download it before restarting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also setup syslog server.

Ok this is what happens. Also, i’m unable to get the diagnostics file because I can’t get to the terminal prompt when this happens.

Yes I did. Where is the log located so I can attach it?

Where did you tell it to put it?

Here is the syslog file.

You should go to Scheduler settings and disable Mover logging.

I will give that a try. Thank you!

So have you seen this issue before?

  • Community Expert

I only meant that your syslog showed the files that had been moved. Examine it for yourself to see what I mean.

I know my ssd i use for cache gets hot, so I wonder if that might be the issue. It gets as high as 71 C sometimes. I need to get a better ssd and a heat sink for it.

So it looks like my issue was my flash drive. I now see the importance of a good quality drive. I purchased a new one and have not had an issue since.
