I assume they are connected to the onboard SATA controller? If yes there's no link, do you hear the disks spinning up?

Feb  6 14:48:18 unraid kernel: ata10: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

P.S. you are also having flash drive issues:

Feb  6 19:40:32 unraid kernel: usb 8-1: USB disconnect, device number 2
Feb  6 19:40:33 unraid emhttpd: Unregistered - flash device error (ENOFLASH3)
Feb  6 19:40:33 unraid kernel: md: unRAID driver removed
Feb  6 19:40:33 unraid emhttpd: scandir: /boot/config/pools No such file or directory
Feb  6 19:40:33 unraid emhttpd: shcmd (17340): /sbin/modprobe md-mod super=/boot/config/super.dat
Feb  6 19:40:33 unraid kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Directory bread(block 29634) failed
Feb  6 19:40:33 unraid kernel: FAT-fs (sda1): Directory bread(block 29635) failed

Try a different USB port, ideally USB 2.0

Thank you for your help. I unplugged the unraid USB. that's why it had those errors I guess.

The case fans are to loud, cannot hear the disks.

I installed windows and the disks did not show up there either.

So it seems the solution was that have to have a SATA cable plugged into both SATA ports at the back of the adapter for the drive bay to work.

I'm currently looking for another adapter that only needs one sata for two drives...
