Unraid not accessible after creating VM

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

so besides enormous problems with node-red and the InfluxDB docker, I tried using VM's instead.
Setting up an Ubuntu-Server VM worked at first, but it didn't have any network connection. After trying again, I set a check in the field of the USB-ethernet controller at the setup screen, but during the creation I lose any connection to the UNRAID server. I can imagine what goes wrong, that maybe the controller can't be accessed by the VM and by the UNRAID server. But at this point, I am just getting tired of things not working.
Are there any tips how to get the network working within the VM?
I am using an old laptop btw, it does not have a regular ethernet port, only USB.

If you assign the ethernet to the VM then Unraid can't use it.

If you don't assign the ethernet to the VM, then Unraid can use it, and the VM can use the network through the host (Unraid).
