Multiple ZFS pools under one share.

Featured Replies

Hello! I am rebuilding my unraid server using ZFS.  I am having trouble creating my share folder. I'd like to have one share folder that will write to all the ZFS vdevs?in the 3 pools I created in Unraid. I have attached a picture of my layout below. The folder only allows array or cache, I'm not sure where I'm going wrong.

Currently one share can only use one pool, you can use more but it would need to be done manually by changing the pool you like new writes to go to.

If I change the share to a new pool with writes happening, I will still be able to read the files in the old pool under the same share right?

Yes, but with 7.0+ you can use two pools for a share.
