UnRAID Server Becomes Unresponsive When "Host access to custom networks" is Enabled

Featured Replies

Hi, i need help with my unraid server.
After some time, the server becomes completely unresponsive when I have the "HOST ACCESS TO CUSTOM NETWORKS" enabled in the Docker settings.

As I understand it, enabling this feature is necessary for a "remote tunneled VPN with AdGuard DNS filtering". However, it seems that when it's enabled, my server eventually dies. The vpn, and the adguard dns filtering works like a charm, but the whole server goes dark some time later, sometimes it's hours, sometime a day.. I can't even ping it. I searched for this problem, and found other people struggling with similar problems to this to, so, i think it's not just a unique problem specific to my configuration/setup.
When i turn off the host access, the server is stable, but the vpn with filtering doesn't work.

I'm reaching out to understand why this happens and to determine if I can fix it. If not, perhaps there's an alternative solution that doesn't involve enabling this setting. Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you using macvlan or ipvlan? If the former try ipvlan.

It was macvlan, i try the ipvlan one, if its stable for 2days i will update the issue solved.

Thank you for you suggestion!

Edit: Its stable now, that was the problem. Thanks. :)
