October 27, 201114 yr Author Hi guys. Can anyone confirm the setup? I really wish to purchase the parts tomorrow. Thanks in advance
October 27, 201114 yr You have chosen the correct parts, those will all work together. The key to choosing the right breakout cable is to look at the model number: CBL-SFF8087OCF-05M In this case, the F stands for 'forward', which is exactly what you want. Go ahead with your purchase (and remember that you'll need 2 of the cables to make use of all 8 ports on the SASLP card). Some people find the fans in the Norco drive cages a bit loud. Check my prototypes thread (link in my sig) for a suggested replacement fan.
