Can’t Boot Unraid USB

Featured Replies

Hey I am trying to start with unraid but k can’t get it to boot. The system immediately goes into hibernation after I select the usb as a boot device then booting it again ends up with no display output at all.

Motherboard Fujitsu D3643-H and 9600k with 8GB Ram and newest Bios installed.

secure boot is disabled. Media Boot for removeable media is enabled too.

it happens on 2 complete different USB sticks.

Tried to use the usb creation tool and did it manual. Used windows and mac for creating it.

always ended up in the same way.

I can boot on grub on truenas but would rly prefer to go unraid.

Did some more testing can’t boot into any os.

the system immediately goes into hibernation and never goes back to the bios after it goes into hibernation could be some error too as the led flashes 3 times fast a very short break and 3 times again . The power led stays on and that’s it.

Why do you say it hibernates? When there is no OS loaded, how is this different from shutting down or crashing?

The power led starts to blink 2 times fast then a pause then again. I think some hardware defect is my issue as I bought all used parts for a low power server.

did replace everything now apart from mainboard and cpu so either of these are dead

Can you even get to the BIOS now?

Probably means something do you have the motherboard manual?

Maybe try without one RAM stick?

CPU cooling OK?
