Poll: Where plugins should be located in WEBGUI

Featured Replies

Good afternoon everyone,

I would like to post a poll for everyone to vote on that pertains to where User Plugins should appear under UnRaids WebGui. Seems like all the plugins lately have been published under settings > Network Services.

I do agree that some plugins should be installed here, but for the most part I believe that plugins should be installed under Utils > User Applications.

Let the voting begin...

i think it depends on the plugin and its functionality...

but i admit, that there should be a kind of rule, where a plugin may install itself into the gui.

(for my usenet spezific plugins (and the soon coming transmission plugin) i was thinking of creating a new section called "download tools")

How about a tab called  "Plugins"?

Im fine where these installed, but I could see it getting too crowded if it's not changed.

AGREE!  There should be a tab for plugins and then on that page they could be grouped:

Utilities

Media Tools

Etc.

Firefox has

Tools -> Addons

Not that we should follow that, But just some food for thought.

Agreed.

Even better would be the ability to move them around yourself..  :P  Depends on how much Tom cares about coding a decent gui (not much).

I think there should be dedicated page to install/remove/update plugins.

A README.html should be mandatory for each plugin which should point out the features, bugs, etc.

Once the readme has been read/checkbox marked, the user should be able to install the plugin.

Once installed, the config should be in the appropriate section in unRAID. Maybe something like "unofficial" should be appended to the name of the plugin.
