Parity disk and Disk1 have orange ball

Featured Replies

Dear Experts,

I have a server running on 5.12a, the Parity and disk1 have an orange ball indicator  :-\. What should i do  ??? ? I want to be able to do this correctly so that i do not loose data.

I did notice on my log that when disk1 is mounted, it throws an error. What does this mean?

Please needing your guidance and insight to this problem.

Your parity drive seems to be on the way out according to your SMART logs... Disk1 looks fine.

Either way, I would trust Disk1's data with those SMART results over the parity drive. Replace parity and resync in my opinion.

I think this is your 3rd time posting errors with these 2 drives.

I belive my advice before was to return that parity drive for a new one.

You do have an issue with your setup that your keep dropping drives every few days and i want to blame that one drive or the conection to it.
