February 23, 20242 yr Hi All, I will be replacing my current 4tb parity with a 10tb. I also want to decommission a 2tb drive, replace it with a 10tb drive. I was thinking of doing it in the following step. 1. Install new 10tb parity and rebuild parity 2. Once parity is complete, install new 10tb to replace 2tb (that as only 250gb on it) and rebuild using parity Is that the easiest way to do it? thanks for your help, I’m fairly new to unRAID. r0ot5
February 23, 20242 yr Community Expert Solution Good plan. Some try to make this too complicated instead of just using parity for its intended purpose.
