I am setting up a domestic NAS, it is an i7 7gen 16ram m2 of 240 (for cache) and 2 mechanical disks of 2 equal WD, if I mount 1 disk for data and the other disk in parity is the information duplicated? Would parity be the same as a mirror in Windows? lo estoy probando si me funciona la idea es comprar la licencia básica / I'm trying it, if it works for me, the idea is to buy the basic license.
February 28, 20242 yr Community Expert Solution With just one parity and one data drive it's a special case, the Unraid array will work as a raid1 mirror.
What would be the safest way with 3 disks?
February 29, 20242 yr Community Expert 1 parity and 2 data disks, you can also have 2 parity and 2 data disks, but that seems overkill for just 2 data disks, don't forget you should still have a backup of anything important.
