REMOVE DATA DISK AND NOT REPLACE

Featured Replies

Hi, I follow this guide in unraid to remove the data disk. I didn't copy the files from the drive I want to remove. The drive, however, left untouch in the "unassigned disk" unmounted. I checked my files and there were missing files. Should my files comes back after the parity sync?

No - as mentioned in the text you posted that procedure invalidates parity.    You need to copy the files off the old disk

Can I copy after the parity sync?I mean copy from unassigned disk to array? Or should I stop the parity sync, assigned again the disk to the array, start the parity sync, copy the files off the drive to the other drive then remove the drive?
