You shouldn't even attempt to run any computer unless memory is working perfectly. Everything goes through RAM, The OS and other executable code, your data, everything. The CPU can't do anything with anything until it is loaded into RAM.

 

You may have to reformat cache after you get memory taken care of.

 

This corruption might also be a reason mover can't work since it has to be able to delete files from cache after copying to the array.

i did just upgrade my ram recently from 32GB to 128GB kit.. 

i did also change my PLEX transcode to use RAM and not CPU...

Did you test RAM after the upgrade? If the current RAM passes memtest, then possibly the corruption was caused by previous RAM.

 

But, if you haven't tested this new RAM you should do so immediately.

i will run a ram test tonight on the new ram. 

If it passes, what is the next steps i can do?

just thought about 1 other thing.. i did enable XMP on the new ram.. i am going to turn that off now too.
